Call for applications for the (78th) Standard Test for Business Japanese (STBJ) exam
We would like to announce that applications for the STBJ exam to be held on Sunday (12.4.2026) are now open.
Application Opening Date - February 10, 2025
Application Closing Date - March 11, 2026
Application form
Applications for the exam can be submitted in person or through the Online Application Form.
Those who wish to apply in person, along with (3) black and white photographs (3×4cm), photo softcopy, (1) copy of ID card, and examination fee (72,000 kyats), can apply at STBJ Myanmar Office from (9:00 AM) to (5:00 PM) daily (except government holidays). The office address is No. (106), Building (C), Delta Plaza, Shwegondaing Road, Van Da Pin, Bahan Township, Yangon.
Those who wish to apply using the Online Application Form can apply on the STBJ Myanmar Website 24/7.
(1) Exam Date - Enter the date of the exam you wish to take.
(2) Name (English) - Enter your name in English, in capital letters.
(3) Name (Katakana) - Enter your name in Katakana. You can leave it blank if you have difficulty writing.
(4) Date of Birth - Enter the date of birth of the applicant.
(5) Gender - Select gender.
(6) Occupation - Select your current employment status (student/employee).
(7) Current Address (English) - Enter your home address in English.
(8) Telephone - Enter your current phone number in English.
(9) Email - Enter your current email address.
(10) Purpose - Select the purpose of taking the STBJ exam.
(11) NRC Number (English) - Enter your registration number in English.
(12) Passport Number (English) - Enter your passport number in English. If not available, you can leave it blank.
(13) Passport Expiry Date - Enter the date your passport will expire in English.
(14) Method of Studying - Select the method of studying Japanese.
(15) Japanese Institution Name - Enter the name of the institution where you studied Japanese.
(16) Level - Select the level of Japanese you have studied.

User Photo - Upload a softcopy of a black and white photo of the applicant. It should be a clear and sharp image.
NRC Front and Black Photo - Upload a front and back photo of your registration. It should be a clear and sharp image.
Payment Screenshot - Upload only the full transaction message showing the payment has been completed.

Announcement of the test center number, location, and time for the (77th) Standard Test for Business Japanese (STBJ) exam
The STBJ exam will be held on Sunday, (1.2.2026) and the exam venue and time are as follows:
Note: Candidates should arrive at the exam venue at least (1) hour before the exam time.
When taking the exam, you are required to bring your ID card (original ID/passport) and note your seat number.
The exam admit card will be issued after verification along with the original identification card (ID/passport) at the time of the exam.

We would like to inform you that the (77th) Standard Test for Business Japanese (STBJ) exam certificates, which were held on (1-2-2026), are now available for collection.
Dates for collecting certificates: (18-2-2026) to (20-2-2026)
Time - 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location - STBJ Myanmar Office
Building No. - 106 (C), Delta Plaza, Shwegondaing Road, Van Da Pin Junction, Bahan Township, Yangon.
If the requirements for issuing a certificate are not met, the certificate will not be issued.
